20-year-old law student to contest local govt election in Rufunsa

Not Lusaka, not Kitwe, not any city or big town but Rufunsa is where 20-year-old Cavendish University Law Student-cum-politician Ms. Tapera Joy Mbewe is standing on the PF ticket.

She is standing as PF Kankhumba Ward Councillor in Rufunsa Constituency of Rufunsa district and is confident of victory.

Ms. Mbewe is one among many young men and women that the PF has picked to contest this Thursday’s election at different levels.

In Other News: Innocent Kalimanshi and 37 others arrested for drug possession

The Drug Enforcement Commission -DEC- has arrested 38 suspects for being in possession of drugs and offensive weapons among other things. Among the suspects that have been apprehended is Innocent Kalimanshi and Nathan Phiri who were found with high grade cannabis, in their vehicle which has since been seized.
