The Democratic Republic of Congo -DRC is expecting FIFTY Small and Medium Enterprises – SMEs to participate in this year’s trade exhibition.

The Finnish government and ABSA bank Zambia are providing roughly one million Kwacha in sponsorship for the 50 people who will camp in Lubumbashi for three days.

JAN KOIVU, the deputy head of mission for the Finnish Embassy in Zambia, claims that because Zambia and the DRC both have sizable markets, it was decided to target the Congo.

In addition, the trade mission would help Zambia take advantage of its trading relations with the Congo, according to ZDA Director General ALBERT KALWAMPA.

MIZINGA MELU, chief executive officer of ABSA Bank Zambia, says the bank is looking at methods to promote small and medium-sized businesses through expanding markets.
