Sixty (60) people have been apprehended in Chingola for loitering. This follows two separate incidents of hacking in which two families were hacked and two later died from the injuries sustained.
Copperbelt Police Chief Elias Chushi said policing becomes difficult when there are a lot of loiterers on the street.
Mr Chushi said police have mounted strong patrol teams to quickly end the hacking situation in Chingola.
He said the community of Chingola should stay off the streets and clubs after midnight.
“We want everyone to be sleeping at home after midnight so that our work is easier. In short, we shall pick anyone suspicious at a suspicious location,” Mr Chushi said.
