Over 7,000 teachers have been registered by the Teaching Council of Zambia in the first quarter of this year alone.
Teaching Council of Zambia Registrar, EBBY MUBANGA has also disclosed that the council has so far issued over 80-thousand practicing licenses since 2016.
Dr MUBANGA has further called on school owners and administrators to ensure they engage teachers, who are both registered and are licensed.
Speaking to ZNBC News in Kapiri Mposhi, Central province, Dr MUBANGA said the council expects every teacher to be registered and licensed, as it is a legal requirement.
