Airtel Mobile Commerce Zambia Limited has launched its mobile money service on the Government Services Bus -Zamportal-.
The launch has been done in partnership with the Ministry of Finance and Smart Zambia in order to enhance service delivery.
Speaking during the launch, Smart Zambia National coordinator, Martine Mtonga said the addition of Airtel Money on the Zamportal Platform will enhance the processes for accessing information and the use of communication technologies.
Dr. Mtonga said the Airtel Money service will also help the country move in line with modern communication trends.
And Airtel Money Director, James Chona said with the onset of the COVID 19, the launch of the Mobile service on the Zamportal platform will help the country adopt digital services and a cashless economy efficiently.
Mr. Chona said citizens who already have access to Government services will be able to make payments using Airtel money.
