According to the government, the Public Order Act (POA) revision process has made great progress.
A desk review report has been finished, and the writing of the law has also advanced, according to Permanent Secretary JOSEPH AKAFUMBA of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security.
According to Mr. AKAFUMBA, stakeholder submissions have aided in the creation of a strong draft.
He made this statement today in Lusaka during the National Validation Meeting for the review of the Public Order Act.
The meeting’s goal, according to HOPE CHANDA, director of the Zambia Law Development Commission, is for participants to review the suggestions that will be incorporated into the Public Order Act.
