An employee of Zesco committed suicide in a lodge

A Zesco employee in Mazabuka has died after allegedly committing suicide at a named lodge.
And police say they have opened an inquiry in the matter.
“Police in Mazabuka have opened an inquiry file into a case of Sudden and Unnatural Death (Suicide) involving a male aged between 42 and 46 identified as Steward Lodge of Stage two Compound also an employee of ZESCO in Mazabuka,” Acting Police Spokesperson Danny Mwale.
Mwale said the deceased was found hanging in one of the guest rooms by the owner of a named Lodge identified as Mukela Musialela aged 68.

Mwale said the incident happened yesterday around 11:00hours.
“Police rushed to the scene and found the deceased hanging from the ceiling board. A plastic bottle containing unknown chemical was also discovered in the room,” said Mwale.
And Mwale said the body of the deceased has been deposited to Mazabuka Hospital Mortuary awaiting post-mortem.
