Zimbabwe’s former president Robert Mugabe’s body has now flown out of Singapore following his death last week. His nephew in law confirmed the latest developments.
“It just left now,” Adam Molai told AFP by phone from the plane carrying Mugabe’s body as it took off from the city-state, with the noise of the aircraft audible in the background.
Below are pictures of the cars that took Mugabe’s body to the airport.
It’s still not clear where the former liberator will be buried with clashes between the government and the Mugabe family.
The Vice President of Zimbabwe is seen in the pictures, he was sent by President Mnangagwa to go and fetch Mugabe’s body from Singapore where he died.
We wonder what kind of welcome we can expect at the Robert Mugabe International Airport in Zimbabwe. We can only wait and see. More to follow.
