The Zambian National Soccer team, Chipolopolo started their 2018 Champions of the African nations – CHAN tournament on a high.
This is after Chipolopolo thumped Uganda by three goals to one in a group (B) match played in Morocco on Sunday night.
Zambia scored first in 38th minute through Zesco United football club striker Lazarous Kambole before Derrick Nsibambi of Uganda equalized two minutes later.
Zanaco’s winger Augustin Mulenga made it two-one to Zambia in the 63rd minute as Benjamin Ochan’s 72nd own goal sealed Zambia’s three-one victory over the cranes.
The win for the Chipolopolo boys means that they are on top of group (B) on three points together with Namibia however, the Wedson Nyirenda tutored side has a health goal deference.
Zambia’s next match of the tournament is against Ivory Coast on Thursday.
In another group (B) match Namibia edged Ivory coast by a goal to nil thanks to Charles Hambira’s 90th minute header from a set piece.
