Cosafa Defending Champion Zambia has been kicked out of the 2021 edition after recording a goalless draw with hosts South Africa, this afternoon.
The game was played at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
The Chipolopolo boys have finished fourth in the group with four points.
Zambia needed to beat already qualified South Africa to have stood any hope of making it to the semifinals.
The Chipolopolo who featured a strong side however failed to unlock the South African defence and were at times reduced to speculative efforts to try and earn maximum points.
The latest setback will put under fire coach MILUTIN SREDOJEVIC under increasing pressure with fans calling for his dismissal ahead of the 2022 Qatar world cup qualifiers coming up in September.
This Follows a string of disappointing results at the tournament which has seen Zambia lose to minnows Lesotho and Eswatini and only managed a 2-1 victory against Botswana, yesterday.
