Corona is yet to hit hard in Zambia

A total of 14 deaths has been recorded in the last 24 hours

The Patriotic Front (PF) says it has received expert advice that the worst of COVID-19 is yet to hit Zambia.
Currently, Zambia’s official number of COVID-19 infections is 4,178 with 140 deaths.

At a press briefing in Lusaka yesterday, PF secretary general Davies Mwila called on the ruling party’s structures and members to be involved in creating awareness on the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mwila said the PF Central Committee was deeply concerned by the “extremely low” levels of compliance by the general public”, to Government’s preventative measures and guidelines concerning COVID-19.Matabeleland South records 11 new Covid-19 cases

“The Central Committee also received expert advice which pointed to the fact that COVID-19 is still with us in Zambia and the worst is yet to come,” Mwila said.

“In light of this reality as well as the need to comply with the new normal, Central Committee is calling for strict adherence by all party structures to the laid-down COVID-19 preventative guidelines by the Ministry of Health,” added Mwila.
