The Development Bank of Zambia -DBZ- will next month launch a one-billion-kwacha credit facility for small and medium enterprises.
DBZ Managing Director, Samuel Bwalya says the credit facility will enable entrepreneurs have capital for their business.
Dr Bwalya says a lot of entrepreneurs do not have access to funding and that the funding will fill the gap for Zambian entrepreneurs.
He was speaking when he called on former President, Kenneth Kaunda, who celebrated his 97th birthday last week.
Dr Bwalya has praised Dr Kaunda for his vision to establish the bank which will celebrate 50 years of existence next year.
And Dr Kaunda has urged the bank to continue with innovations and contribute to the development of the country.
The former President says he is happy the bank has not abandoned its vision.
