Don’t make patients wait too long for attention

Health Minister Chitalu Chilufya has directed health facilities across the country to stop the unnecessary delays in attending to patients.
Dr Chilufya says patients should not spend a lot of time waiting to be seen by medical doctors especially during this period of Covid-19.
He said this after an impromptu visit to Solwezi General Hospital where he was impressed with management for reducing waiting time for patients to be attended to.
Dr Chilufya also called on all health facilities to provide improved quality service to all.Apple donates 4 million masks and 1 million face shields to Zambia
The Minster said government under the leadership of President Edgar Lungu has employed more medical personnel to ensure quality health care is provided to all citizens.
Meanwhile, Solwezi district Clinical care specialist Jonathan Ncheengamwa assured the minister that management will continue to provide quality health care to the people of north Western province.
Earlier in the day, North Western Province Minister Nathaniel Mubukwanu informed the Minister that the Province has intensified its sensitization and awareness programs against Covid-19.
