Edgar Changwa Lungu mall looted


Several shops at the EDGAR CHAGWA LUNGU Mall in Kitwe were this morning broken into and goods worth millions of Kwacha looted.

The looting happened in the early hours of the morning as people were celebrating President-Elect HAKAINDE HICHILEMA’s victory in the August 12 polls.

A Check at the mall found shop owners trying to pick up some of the remaining goods.

Sis link General Manager CHARLES MUTALE said the boutique which had just received new stock of designer clothes, handbags, shoes and other valuables has been looted losing millions of Kwacha.

He also said over 40,000 Kwacha cash has been stolen from two cash boxes that were in the boutique.

And some workers at Unicom, a phone accessory shop said they have lost all the goods from their shop.
