Senior Chief MWASE of the Chewa people in Lundazi District has urged political players to separate politics from Government development programmes that aim to better the livelihood of many Zambians.

The traditional leader is saddened that the early delivery of inputs has been politicised as a campaign strategy by Government ahead of the 2021 General election.

Chief MWASE has urged Government to ignore political players criticising the early delivery of farming inputs for the 2020-2021 farming season.

He was speaking when NERIA’s Investment Limited General Manager MARTIN CHAIKATISHA called on him and Lundazi District Commissioner JANET SAKALA at her office.

And Mr. CHAIKATISHA reiterated his company’s commitment to deliver fertilizer on time when engaged.

He disclosed that the company is next month starting to receive fertilizer in readiness for the 2021-2022 farming season.

Meanwhile, Chief MPAMBA of the Tumbuka people in Lundazi says farmers are projected to produce a good crop yield following the early delivery of farming inputs in the district.

The Traditional Leader said he is pleased that about eleven thousand farmers have collected their inputs for the 2020-2021 farming season.

Chief MPAMBA said Government should be given credit for the early delivery of inputs which is expected to lead to good crop yield.
