Police on the Copperbelt province have arrested United Party for National Development (UPND) Ndola Central Constituency Parliamentary candidate Frank Tayali.
Copperbelt province Commissioner of Police Elias Chushi said Tayali 46 has been arrested for damaging a police vehicle.
He said the aspiring candidate has also been slapped with conduct likely to cause a breach of peace.
“Mr Tayali 46, of House Number 21, Chinika Road, Northrise in Ndola for malicious damage to property and vonduct likely to cause a breach of Peace and he is detained in police custody,” Mr Chushi said
Earlier, Ndola District officer commanding Superintendent Bwalya issued a summon to Mr Tayali to appear before police at Ndola Central Police station.
“You are hereby commanded in the name of the President to report yourself at Ndola Police Headquarters in room eight second floor at 14 hours to assist the police with Investigations. You will not be detained longer than is absolutely necessary,” Mr Bwalya said.
