Garlic Bread that you pull apart: Recipe
1 small round sourdough bread
65 g mozzarella cheese, grated
Herbed garlic butter
80 g salted butter, softened
6 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 tsp grated ginger, optional
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
Zest of 1 lime
Juice of a ¼ lime
1 tsp soy sauce
1. Preheat the oven to 200 C and line baking tray with foil. Mix the herbed garlic butter ingredients together and set aside.
2. Place the bread on a chopping board. Using a serrated knife, cut the bread at an angle as though you are slicing it, but not going all the way through. Slice the bread in the opposite direction creating block or diamond shapes. Spread the herbed garlic butter in between the cuts and stuff with cheese.
3. Cover with foil and bake for 12 minutes. Remove the foil and increase the heat to 220 degrees C and bake for a further 8 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the top is crispy.
