Over 11,000 health professionals have been hired by the government nationwide.
The hiring procedure, according to acting health minister CHUSHI KASANDA, was done in a skilled and open manner.
According to Ms. KASANDA, 137, 129 applications were submitted.
Due to the increasing demand for human resources in the industry, Ms. KASANDA has urged rejected applicants to not worry as the government plans to hire more health workers in the future.
The names of the selected applicants will be published in various print media sources tomorrow, said Ms. KASANDA, who is also the Minister of Information and Media.
The hiring of health professionals will help the nation deliver high-quality healthcare, according to Civil Service Commission Chairperson PETER MUMBA, who also spoke at the briefing.
