Government through the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Child Development has approved over 3 million Kwacha funding for 50 youth clubs and organisation in Isoka District of Muchinga Province under the Youth Empowerment Funds.
Isoka Member of Parliament Malozo Sichone says the money is part of the 30 Million kwacha government has set aside for youth empowerment countrywide.
Mr Sichone says the programme is aimed at improving the welfare of youths and address unemployment.
Mr Sichone has urged beneficiaries to put the funds to put the funds to good use.
Mr Sichone said the funded projects include transportation, construction ,poultry and fishing farming among others.
Mr Sichone has advised beneficiaries to use the funds for the intended projects to create wealth and employment for other youths.
Meanwhile, Acting Isoka District Commissioner Mulenga Yamishi has advised youth to take advantage of Transforming Landscapes for Resilience and Development (TRALARD) project.
Mr Yamishi said the programme is aimed at supporting sustainable use of natural resources for livelihoods, and help communities respond adequately and timely to a crisis or emergency.
