HH Will Open A Nickel Mine In Kalumbila

The largest nickel mine in Africa is set to open today in the Northwestern province’s Kalumbila area, according to President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA.

Around 700 jobs are anticipated to be created by the $250 million mine.

At 10:05 a.m., the plane carrying the head of state landed at Kalumbila Airport.

Minister ROBERT LIHEFU of the North Western Province and other top government officials greeted President HICHILEMA.

Minister of Lands and Natural Resources ELIJAH MUCHIMA, together with other top government officials, are with the Head of State.

The creation of the Enterprise Mine, according to SAUL SIMUUJIKA, general secretary of the National Union of Miners and Allied Workers Union of Zambia, is a manifestation of President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA’s ambition to provide work for people.

In Kitwe, Mr. SIMUUJIKA Stated that the mine’s opening will help generate much-needed income and jobs.

In the meantime, COSTA MWABA, the president of the Mine Suppliers and Contractors Association, pleaded with the government to establish a strategic strategy that will permit locals to transact business with the mine.
