More than 300 Indeni workers will get redundancy payments thanks to government funding of more than 500 million kwacha.
According to Indeni Board Chair WATSON LUMBA, the funds are in the business’s bank account.
Some of the laid-off employees, according to Mr. LUMBA, who have already signed their letters, will be anticipated to receive their money by today.
In an interview, Mr. LUMBA noted that the New Indeni will function as an oil marketing firm and that the Indeni petroleum refinery is still receiving care and maintenance.
He said that the business has now applied for a license as an oil marketing corporation with the Energy Regulation Board.
