UPND’s Ketty Nanyangwe elected Lusaka’s Deputy Mayor

UNITED Party for National Development (UPND) Siwizya ward 16 Councillor Ketty Nanyangwe has been elected as the new Lusaka Deputy Mayor.

Lusaka City Council public relations manager Mwaka Nakweti said Ms Nanyangwe was elected during a special council meeting held in the Lusaka City Council Chamber yesterday afternoon.

“The new deputy Mayor polled 19 votes against Kanyama Ward 13 Councillor Leonard Cheelo’s 17 votes, while Ngwerere Ward 22 Councillor Adrian Banda had 1 vote,” she said.
