The Lungu Royal Establishment has canceled the Lunte Business and Tourism Expo which was set for June 28 to July 1, 2021 in Lunte District – Northern Province.
Senior Chief Tafuna of the Lungu people says the cancellation has been necessitated by the high number of Covid cases being recorded.
Chief Tafuna says the expo was expected to showcase the tourism potential that is in Lunte District.
He says Lunte is endowed with a lot of tourist sites which the world needs to see.
Chief Tafuna says there is no need to put the lives of foreign investors and the local people at risk, hence the decision to call off the expo.
