MP Machila Jamba donates to fire victims in Mwembeshi
Twelve makeshift houses and a church at Gunduza fishing camp in Mwembeshi constituency in Shibuyunji district have been gutted by fire destroying household properties.
The fire which started from one of the houses was caused by a brazier which was left unattended to on Independence Day has left twelve families homeless.
And Mwembeshi Member of Parliament Machila Jamba has come to the aid of the affected families.
Mr. Jamba has donated 140 roofing sheets, assorted food stuff, blankets and fishing nets worth 50-thousand Kwacha to help the families and other community members.
He says twenty roofing sheets have been given to the Seventh Day Adventist church to help them rebuild the church structure that was also burnt down. Mr. Jamba also cautioned the beneficiaries against selling the donated roofing sheets. Meanwhile, residents of Gunduza Fishing Camp have thanked their Member of Parliament for coming to their aid.
