Maganov, the head of Russian oil, perished in a “fall from hospital window.”

According to sources, Ravil Maganov, the chairman of Russia’s largest oil company, Lukoil, passed away after falling from a Moscow hospital window.

Maganov, 67, passed away as a result of his injuries while receiving treatment at the city’s Central Clinical Hospital, sources told Russian media.

He is the most recent in a line of notable corporate executives to pass away suddenly.

Soon after Russia invaded Ukraine, Lukoil demanded an end to the conflict.

The Lukoil board called for an immediate end to the crisis in Ukraine at the beginning of March and offered its condolences to all who had suffered from “this catastrophe.”

Two years ago, Ravil Maganov took over as chairman of the board of Lukoil. In 1993, he started working for the private oil firm.

Alexander Subbotin, a former senior manager of Lukoil, reportedly passed away in May under mysterious circumstances. (BBC)
