Agriculture Minister Michael Katambo says the PF Government has scored a number of successes to deserve another mandate in office.
Mr. Katambo, who is also Masaiti Member of Parliament, says government has built schools and clinics, while the agriculture sector is also flourishing.
He was speaking when he addressed hundreds of PF members after the successful filing of nominations in the Masaiti Miputu ward by election slated for February 9th.
Mr. Katambo appealed to residents not to entertain the opposition because they have nothing to offer but lies.
Earlier, Copperbelt PF Chairperson Nathan Chanda urged the electorate not to entertain the opposition candidate because the party has no meaningful agenda for Zambians.
And PF Candidate Bornwell Mbasela is confident of scooping the seat which fell vacant after United Party for National Development -UPND- councilor Orcin Mabeti resigned from the party.
Meanwhile, UPND candidate Godfrey Makasa said he will retain the seat for the opposition party.
Later, after the successful filing of nominations by the two parties, scores of UPND cadres ditched their party to join PF.
