Meeting with energy players is held by HH

The energy industry’s stakeholders have been encouraged by President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA to make sure the nation has enough electricity.

The sector, according to the President, must make sure there are sufficient stockpiles in order to boost the nation’s economy and export any surplus.

This is according to a statement the president made on his Facebook page after a meeting with energy industry stakeholders at the White House.

The Ministry of Energy, the Energy Regulation Board (ERB), ZESCO, the Rural Electrification Authority (REA), and other stakeholders were present at the round table debate.

Among the many other issues discussed at the conference, according to President HICHILEMA, were difficulties as well as strategies to break through rigidities and other barriers.

However, he has stressed that the government must achieve established goals by good planning, restraint, and discipline, and that moving ahead, this process must be accelerated urgently.

Since then, President HICHILEMA has urged all parties to work together by constantly communicating with one another in order to provide the Zambian people with effective services, stating that nobody will stand in the way of the country’s economic recovery.
