In real life, Mary from Diep City’s name is Moshine Mametja. She was born on 18th October 1994 which makes her current age 27 years old.
She was born in The Oaks Ga-Sekororo, Limpopo Province in South Africa and raised in Phalaborwa, Limpopo.
Information about her parents and siblings has not been provided although, in a past interview, the actress revealed that her parents- particularly her mother, were against her pursuing acting as they didn’t think she would make a living from it.

Moshine Mametja is not just a pretty and talented lass, she is also well-educated too. She got both her primary and secondary education in Phalaborwa schools.
She matriculated from Hoerskool Frans du Toit before enrolling at Tshwane University of Technology Art Campus where she graduated with a National Diploma in Drama.
She started her career in theatre
Like most renowned actors and actresses, Moshine Mametja started her career as a theatre actress before finding her way to our screens.
She has had several supporting and lead roles in several theatre productions including at the Rostrum Theatre, Wits Main Theatre, and Breytenbach Theatre.

After taking a long break from the modelling scenes, Moshine Mametja made a comeback to the pageantry in June 2021 when she entered the Miss South Africa contest, unfortunately, she didn’t make it to the top 30 finalists.
