Musicians donate to Covid-19 fight

Scores of Zambia’s top musicians have distributed assorted Covid-19 materials in Kitwe on the Copperbelt in response to President EDGAR LUNGU’s call for concerted efforts in the fight against Covid-19.

And the musicians have called on Zambians from all walks of life to compliment Government efforts to fight the pandemic which has affected all sectors of the economy.

Speaking when they launched the distribution of Covid-19 materials on the Copperbelt, the musicians said the move is to support President LUNGU’s call in fighting the pandemic.

MULAZA KAIRA popularly known as Mark 2 said President LUNGU has led the drive and it is important that everyone joins the fight.

He said there is no need for politicians to politicize the fight because the pandemic has affected everyone in the country.

And FELIX PHIRI, another Musician said the fight against Covid-19 should not be left to government alone adding that everyone must be involved.

Meanwhile, WESLEY CHIBAMBO popularly known as DANDY KRAZY has urged
Zambians not to fight each other as the country goes to polls but use their energy to fight the pandemic.

He said people should focus on sharing ideas and not involve themselves in issues of political violence.

Among the musicians who have joined the movement include Kaddafi, J.K, MAMPI, WILE, KAYOMBO, CHESTER, and YO MAPS.
