Mzansi celebs have outdone themselves with their stunning outfits tailored specifically for the celebration of this year’s Africa Day. Despite the Covid-19 keeping most of them indoors, they made an effort to show the rest of the world how beautiful the African continent and its culture is.
Our stars took to social media and shared pics of themselves in their gorgeous traditional fabrics and attire while some shared inspiring messages of hope to their African brothers and sisters who are striving to make the continent a better place for all.
Here are some of the stars who dazzled us on Africa Day, 25 May. Boity Thulo looked dazzling in her Africa Day-inspired attire. She captioned her post: “African Goddess”.
Cassper Nyovest looked like a real African king in his traditional attire.
Minnie Dlamini shared a gorgeous pic while in a traditional outfit.
Zahara also stunned in her beautiful outfit. Zahara quoted former president Thabo Mbeki’s famous 1996 speech, “I’m an African”.
Actor Oros Mampofu and his twin shared a pic wearing traditional Xhosa gear. He wrote: “We are Africa.”
Thando Thabethe also looked stunning in her colourful attire. She also quoted Mbeki’s speech.
Amanda Black decided to bless her fans with a beautiful song by Jonathan Mcreynolds titled Cycles. The star said she just wanted to “sing this song for my Afrika”.
Thembi Seete decided to share her clan names in keeping with the spirit of Africa Day.
