The death toll in the Nakonde-bound Mbwe Motors bus has risen to six following the death of two more passengers who were admitted to Chinsali General Hospital.
Muchinga Province Commissioner of Police Lizzie Machina has identified the deceased passengers as Goshen Kalunga, 51 of Serenje and Bertha Barnabas, 25 of Lusaka.
Ms. Machina said Bertha died around 21:00hrs last night while the latest accident victim, Mr Kalunga, died around 03:50hrs this morning due to fatal body injuries they sustained.
Bodies of the deceased persons have been deposited at Chinsali General Hospital Mortuary awaiting postmortem.

The Drug Enforcement Commission -DEC- has arrested 38 suspects for being in possession of drugs and offensive weapons among other things. Among the suspects that have been apprehended is Innocent Kalimanshi and Nathan Phiri who were found with high grade cannabis, in their vehicle which has since been seized.
