Nkana coach sent on forced leave amid string of bad results

Kelvin Kaindu

Nkana Football Club has sent its coach Kelvin Kaindu on three weeks leave following a string of bad results that the league champions have posted in the recent past.

Nkana Acting Chief Executive Officer Kapwepwe Mutale says Kaindu’s leave is effective today, April 14.

Kaindu’s Assistant, Kaunda Simonda will act as head coach in his absence and will be assisted by Young Nkana Head Coach, Fidelis Chungu.

Nkana Senior Team Physical Trainer, Joseph Musonda, has been redirected to the junior team in the same capacity and has been replaced by Nkana Gym Instructor and Physical Trainer, Chewe Mwamba.

Mutale says all the developments and restructuring process have been instituted in order to save the senior team from being relegated.

The 13-time premier league champions have been performing below par, with last straw being yesterday’s 2 goals to 1 loss to relegation bound Kitwe United, which has never won a game this season.
