UNZA to hold 1st ever virtual graduation ceremony on Friday 31st July, 2020

One thousand three hundred and twenty-one (1321) students at the University of Zambia (UNZA) are tomorrow expected to graduate online.

UNZA Communications and Public Relations Manager Brenda Bukowa said the virtual graduation ceremony will be held under the theme “Resilient Academic Excellence amidst Global Challenges.”

Bukowa in a statement said the graduation ceremony will start at 09:00hrs and will be broadcast live on ZNBC TV1 and also live streamed on UNZA’s official Facebook page.

” Graduates from the three schools and institutes namely; the Directorate of Research and Graduate Studies (DRGS), the Graduate School of Business (GSB) and graduates from the Institute of Distance Education (IDE) will be conferred with PhDs, masters, postgraduate Diplomas and undergraduate degrees and diplomas,” said Bukowa.

She said out of the total number of graduates, 28 will be conferred with doctoral degrees, about 688 students will be conferred with master’s degrees and about five hundred and ninety nine 599 undergraduate degrees.
