Owner of Ndozo Lodge Must Submit to Medical Re-Examination, Per Court Order

The owner of Ndozo Lodges, CHRINT SICHAMBA, must go through a medical reexamination by neurosurgeons at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) in Lusaka, per an order from the Lusaka Magistrate Court.

This occurs after Mr. SICHAMBA’s attorneys informed the court that their client is unable to enter a plea because of a medical condition that prevents him from speaking.

This relates to a case in which Mr. SICHAMBA, his wife EUDORIA NAMBELA, and son DAVID are all accused with 15 counts of having property believed to be the proceeds of crime.

When an accused person is unable to present a convincing defense, the court will enter a NOT GUILTY plea, according to Magistrate IRENE WISHIMANGA, who read the decision on the preliminary problem submitted by the defense.
