PF Chawama office set on fire

Chawama Constituency PF office has been gutted reducing party materials to ashes.
Police spokesperson Esther Mwaata Katongo stated that the incident occurred around 02:00 hours today.

Mrs Katongo stated that police have since launched investigations into the matter.
“Police in Lusaka are investigating a report of fire incidence which occurred today, 20th July 2021 at about 0200 hours in which Rodgers Nkole aged 50 years of Chawama Compound, who is also Chawama Constituency Chairman for the Patriotic Front reported that the Patriotic Front Chawama Constituency Office was gutted and all the belongings were burnt to ashes.

The gutted items include three rolls of Chitenge Campaign materials, Campaign T-shirts, speakers, Mega phones, seven bags of 50kg mealie meal, office chairs and tables, assorted constituency office documents, assorted foodstuffs and Kitchen utensils,” she stated.

Mrs Katongo stated that the brigade was activated and managed to put out the fire. The
She stated that the cause of fire has not yet been ascertained hence Joint investigations with fire brigade have been launched to determine what caused the fire.

A Lusaka landlord has appeared in the Magistrates’ Court and pleaded not guilty of burning her tenant with hot porridge. Rebecca Mwansa, 65, a teacher of John Laing compound, is charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
