PF secretary general Davies Mwila has cautioned party members not to engage themselves in any forms of electoral malpractices.

Mr Mwila said any form of electoral malpractice is against the law and the principles and values of the Patriotic Front.

This follows a meeting held by the PF, UPND, the police and the  Electoral Commission of Zambia on how to conduct campaigns.” I want to caution all our members not to engage themselves in any forms of electoral malpractices as it is against the law and the principles and values of the Patriotic Front,” he said.

And Mr Mwila said the two political parties have since made resolutions.

“The PF and the UPND must respect the right of each other to freely campaign without interference or violence. The PF and the UPND should adhere to approved campaign schedules and any changes to the campaign schedules must be approved by the Zambia Police.

The PF and the UPND should desist from tampering with each other’s campaign materials such as posters and billboards. The two political parties should not violate any provisions of the Electoral Code of Conduct,” Mr Mwila said

He further assured the nation that the PF commits itself to the stated resolutions.

Mr Mwila also urged party members to ensure that all campaign activities are held with strict adherence to the COVID-19 health guidelines.
