Police have issued a warning to anyone planning to gather unlawfully at the DEC on Tuesday when former First Lady ESTHER LUNGU is scheduled to arrive for questioning.
Police, according to Inspector General of Police LEMMY KAJOBA, shall not permit anyone to breach the law without consequence.
Police are aware of the tapes, according to Mr. Kajoba, where well-known individuals are allegedly confronting the law enforcement and plotting to provoke chaos by sending students from the Copperbelt.
He has warned young people against using them as weapons to disturb the peace.
In order to prevent any bus or vehicle carrying suspected protesters from traveling from the Copperbelt to Lusaka and causing havoc, Mr. KAJOBA adds that police have stationed enough officers along the route.
Such vehicles, he claimed, would be seized, and the people inside would be imprisoned.
According to Mr. KAJOBA, calling someone for an interview after conducting research is standard procedure for law enforcement agencies.
