POLICE in Masaiti have retrieved a body of a 36-year-old man who went missing last weekend.
Acting Copperbelt Division Commanding Officer, Tresphord Kasale disclosed that the body of Bernard Njuwa of Poshita Village of Chief Mushili’s Chiefdom, a security guard of SL Security Company of Luanshya was discovered with missing body parts yesterday.
Kasale revealed that Njuwa’s body was found in a decomposed state without head, hands, and legs in Kafubu river infested with crocodiles.
He said this came to light when a brother to the deceased reported the matter to Police.
He said facts before Police were that Njuwa went missing between Wednesday, November 17, 2021 around 17:00 hours, and Saturday 20 November 2021 around 06:00 hours.
Kasale said the body of the deceased had been examined by the pathologist and results were yet to be revealed to ascertain the cause of death, reports ZANIS.
