Police should protect all Citizens – President Hakainde Hichilema

President Hakainde Hichilema has instructed Home Affairs and Internal Security Minister Jack Mwiimbu to ensure that Police protect all citizens.

And President Hakainde Hichilema says he is following with interest the unfortunate incident in Kasama were a group of youths assaulted the District Administrative Officer.

President Hakainde Hichilema says government does NOT want cadres that will beat up people and take away their money. Speaking after touring Lusaka‘s Luburma and Katungu markets yesterday, President Hichilema said that he does not need police to protect him if they can not protect citizens.

The President said that his preoccupation is to protect all citizens of Zambia. And President Hakainde Hichilema said that he has also instructed that ALL trading places must in the next two years have adequate sanitation and water reticulation system.

The President said the UPND Administration is determined to improve the welfare of traders and that some of the challenges such as water reticulation and empowerment will be dealt with using the Constituency Development Fund -CDF-.

President Hichilema said the schools have also been instructed not to compel parents to buy uniforms at the schools so that those making uniforms in markets can also make money.

The President said the CDF needs to be used as a revolving fund to support improving their businesses.

As the President toured he was accompanied by UPND Candidate in the Kabwata Parliamentary by-election ANDREW TAYENGWA, Cabinet Ministers who included Information and Media Minister CHUSHI KASANDA, Minister of Home Affairs and Internal Security JACK MWIIMBU and Justice Minister MULAMBO HAIMBE.

Others that accompanied the President are UPND Senior officials.

In Other News – Mansa Woman Explains Why She Allowed Her Brother In-law To Impregnate Her

A 28-year-old woman of Mansa has told the court that she allowed the young brother to her husband to impregnate her twice in 5 years because her husband is not fertile. Speaking in court last Friday, Felistus Chanda a teacher by profession (though not yet deployed) said since she got married in 2016, her husband Rick Kapambwe 32, failed to make her pregnant forcing his relatives to advise her to sleep with his young brother Rocky Kapambwe 26, to have children on his behalf of which she agreed because her man was crying for children.

This is in a matter in which Felistus a Mansa woman in Luapula sued her hubby a farmer for divorce on grounds that he is demanding for more children when he is infertile.

“I love my husband but the problem is that he is forcing me to have a 3rd child when himself is infertile. He knows this because doctors examined us both in 2018 and he was found infertile and that’s how his close relatives encouraged me to start sleeping with his young brother whom I was keeping and despite being younger than me, he managed to sleep with me 84 times and gave me 2 children in 5 years. Read More
