President Lungu in Congo for talks


President EDGAR LUNGU has left for Kinshasa for bilateral engagements with his Democratic Republic of Congo -DRC- counterpart FELIX TSHISEKEDI.

Foreign Affairs Minister JOSEPH MALANJI says the meeting between the two heads of state will also discuss among other issues the problems in Mozambique as Mr. TSHISEKEDI is the current African Union Chairperson.

Mr. MALANJI says government has also invited the DRC President to grace the official opening of the Kazungula bridge which carters for Zambia and Botswana with Zimbabwe also having expressed interest.

He says the President is expected back in the country later in the day.

The Minister who has accompanied the President to Kinshasa was speaking to ZNBC News before departure at ZAF Lusaka City Airport.

Other Ministers who have accompanied President LUNGU are Presidential Affairs Minister FREEDOM SIKAZWE, Infrastructure Minister VINCENT MWALE and Luapula Province Minister NICKSON CHILANGWA.
