President Edgar Lungu is saddened by the death of former Catholic rector of Saint Dominic Major Seminary, Father Roch Mwansa.

President Lungu says the death of Father Mwansa is not only a loss to the church but the country as he played vibrant role in providing guidance towards the country’s governance system.

President Lungu said this in a speech read for him by Mansa Central Member of Parliament Chitalu Chilufya during the burial procession of Father Mwansa in Mansa.

And Family representative Mwaba Mushota thanked the President for the support he rendered during Fr. Mwansa’s illness.

Mr. Mushota said the Head of State did his best so that the late clergy could recover but God knows why he took him.

He said the family and friends of Fr. Mwansa will forever remain grateful for continued support from President Lungu.
