The Head of State wrote:

On this Heroes’ Day, I would like to call out my heroes, and it is our medical staff, who for the past months, have been working tirelessly to save lives during the Covid-19 pandemic.

They have stood up for us at one of the most difficult times in our nation’s history.
This they have done not as invincible superhuman beings because I know that a number of them have passed away trying to save the lives of others.
To me such dedication and sacrifice is a mark of a true hero, and as President, I’m immensely proud of their work.

In a way, we can all be heroes in the fight against Covid-19, by adhering to the five golden rules meant to stop the spread of the virus.

Be a hero for your family today by protecting them from the deadly virus; be a hero today by supporting those that are battling the disease, and let them know there is hope.

Together we can win this battle; together we can all be heroes!

Let the hero in you show today.
