The Private Schools and Colleges Association has condemned the deferment of the reopening of schools which has been described as a drawback to private school owners in the country.

In an exclusive interview with s24, association Vice Chairman Peter Chileya has observed that delaying the reopening of schools will contribute to a low number of learners getting vaccinated against the coronavirus considering that the Ministry of Health targets to use schools as vaccination centers.

Meanwhile, Great North Road Academy Founder Rozious Siatwambo has urged the Ministry of Education to widely consult private schools before making such decisions as they are normally left out of the decision-making process.
