In the 400 meter race, MUZALA SAMUKONGA, a Commonwealth and African gold medallist, was placed 16th in the world out of 100 competitors.
The second fastest guy in Africa in the 400-meter event is SAMUKONGA, who shot to fame after his outstanding performances at the Commonwealth Games and the Africa Senior Championship.
African athletes are led by South African WAYDE VAN NIEKERK, who is rated 14th overall with a time of 44.58.
Due to SAMUKONGA’s personal best time of 44.66, which he ran in the Commonwealth Games and won him gold in, he has been rated 16th.
This is in accordance with the top 100 athletes in the 400-meter race’s official world rankings.
Sprinter MICHAEL NORMAN of America, who has a personal best time of 43.56, is at the top of the list, followed by CHAMPION ALLISON of her own nation, who clocks in at 43.70, and KIRANI JAMES of Grenada, who comes in third with a time of 44.02.
And ELIAS MPONDELA, president of Zambia Athletics, is ecstatic about SAMUKONGA’s most recent ranking.
