S.P. Obtains Chemistry To Control Army Worms

Army worms have contaminated several crop fields, therefore the Ministry of Agriculture in the Southern province has sent over 9,700 liters of chemicals to control them.

The government has also provided 225 sprayers to the area, according to MAX CHOOMBE, the agricultural coordinator for the southern province.

According to Dr. Choombe, the 15 districts in the Southern region would receive an equal distribution of the pesticides based on the level of infestation.

Additionally, Kalomo and Sinazongwe districts have the largest percentage of crop fields attacked by army worms, according to Senior Field Crops Officer NOVAS SOMANJE.
