After receiving news of the death of lung cancer patient Chama Musonda, President Edgar Lungu has expressed deep sorrow on her passing.
“Fellow citizens, I have learned with deep sadness this morning of the passing of Chama Musonda, the brave young lady of Kabwe who was battling cancer. Her story and images a few months ago touched the nation; I was touched, too. And we all prayed and hoped for her healing, and supported her in various ways,” President Lungu has posted.
“She lost the battle to cancer, but she won our hearts, and we will remember her for her courage to fight. I wish to convey my heartfelt condolences to the family of Ms Musonda. I mourn with you. RIP.”
