President Cyril Ramaphosa has adjusted the Level 3 Lockdown by closing the borders including all 6 of the busiest border posts.
The Beitbridge has been busy the past few weeks as most people who had visited their families are coming back to work.
The President also said Travellers, entering South Africa will need to produce a negative Covid-19 test, to be presented on arrival and not older than 72 hours from the date of departure from the country of origin.
Any returning South African citizens and residents will be subject to entry regulations and protocols. Diplomats, cargo and all permit holders will be allowed to enter the country depending they have genuine Covid-19 certificates.
The president also announced the closure of public gatherings including worship. The closure is not permanent it will be until the Covid-19 infections are under control.
The borders have been closed until the 15th February 2021 in an effort to reduce the congestion that has hit all South African borders.
