Stanbic Bank Will Aid Agribusiness Development

The expansion of agribusiness will continue to get backing from Stanbic Bank.

The head of agriculture at Stanbic Bank, EDITH CHUMA, observes that small-holder farmers account for 70% of the industry yet lack access to financial data.

Ms. CHUMA was participating in a panel discussion at the Mulungushi international Conference Centre’s 13th African Union Private Sector Forum that examined the role of stakeholders in advancing agriculture.

Additionally, CHANCE KABAGHE, the executive director of IAPRI, emphasized the requirement for smallholder farmers to have access to technology to support their output.

Additionally, NKOLALA HALWINDE, the executive director of Nkoka Women in Agro Business, emphasized the importance of addressing the high cost of finance for small-scale farmers.
