Richard Maponya’s funeral last week will be remembered for all the wrong reasons – from praise poet Jessica Mbangeni causing a stir in her attire to rumours she rocked up uninvited.
Another moemish moment to come out of the ceremony was that epic fail from SAPS officers – who performed a very ‘deurmekaar’ parade that had Mzansi cringing in embarrassment. Poor DJ Maphorisa was even blamed for it!

The viral video fueled a social media trend known as the #SAPSChallenge – which sees a group of people line-up and attempt to march in different directions. The concept is simple, but the outcome is side-splitting!
