Forging and using a letter of appointment for medical care has led to the arrest of THREE individuals.
Samson Phiri and two further suspects, who range in age from 27 to 33, are accused of forging an employment letter for a general worker.
Three people have been detained for the offenses of forgery and uttering false documents, according to police deputy spokesperson Danny Mwale.
“This is in a case were the suspect identified as Samson Phiri aged 35 of George Compound in Lusaka approached the Lusaka District Health office in Lusaka and uttered a forged Staff Appointment letter in his names seeking employment as a general worker.”
“The letter is purported to have been authored by Public Service Management Division (PSMD) on behalf of His Excellency the President of the Republic of Zambia,” he said.
Two further suspects, aged 27 and 33, who are suspected of writing the identical appointment letter, according to Mr. Mwale, were detained in connection with the same offense.
